Los Angeles Transfer and Storage

This company failed to honor their contract with us. On the day our goods were delivered their driver told us he was waiting for his "guy" to arrive and help him unload our goods. This is when we found out they only send one person from their company to deliver and unload. They use local movers to assist. When a local professional moving company arrived, they could not come to agreement on their fee, and they left. To solve this, Los Angeles Transfer and Storage hired two people from Craigs List to unload our goods. Unfortunately, the employee from Los Angeles Transfer and Storage got hurt on the job leaving my husband and I to unload our goods with two people hired from Craigs List. We paid for professional movers to deliver, unload and reassemble our goods. That is not what happened. We informed our moving broker who hired Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, provided details, photos and text messages of what happened, the broker immediately sent a request to Los Angeles Transfer and Storage requesting they reimburse us for the delivery portion. We made several requests asking for reimbursement, went through their CSI claims and the BBB. In the end, all we received was, "they were sorry for what happened." No refund!! All we asked for was a partial refund against the delivery fee. We thought this company was a professional service and would honor our request. We were wrong.

I was not impressed with this company at all. I gave a month's notice prior to my move, and over the course of a weekend my quote had already gone up $300. I was a very small move, only furniture was my bed and 12 boxes. The agent worked with me and did what he could to get it down to $200 more which was better. I let the company know on the 8th of the month my new address, and got my stuff 3 weeks later. This I can now understand, but the communication about it was awful. I couldn't get my agent on the phone and when he'd respond in emails he was condescending and would type in all caps. Not very professional at all.  I was promised my move to be delivered on a Tuesday or wed, and it didn't show until Sat morning. They had gotten stopped at a weigh station and needed something fixed on their truck. I thought it was weird being as how a company built around driving a large truck should probably have everything in working order prior to a journey like that, but when they showed up they were in a Budget truck with a U-Haul trailer. My boxes looked like they had been shoved and were dented all over. Some items inside were broken. I am thankful I received my things eventually and nothing was stolen, but for $1200, I would have much preferred to rent my own Budget truck and deliver my stuff myself. Lesson learned!

Excellent business. I had a very pleasant experience with the staff & they made my move very easy and stress free! highly recommend!! A year ago I decided to move from pa to ca. From the moment I contact LA transfers regarding about my situation, I knew they were the right choice. The rep was very helpful answering my questions & was empathized since I wasn't sure if my things would deliver undamaged. But as my move was completed, ally things were fine :) thank u LA transfer for being so professional and providing awesome services!!

It's hard to say enough good things about Los Angeles Transfer and Storage! David did my initial intake ~ he was polite, attentive and had a very good attitude overall. I was given accurate information, an estimate that came very close to the actual price ~ we didn't have enough time for someone to come out and give us a free estimate ~ and still the price was within the range we expected!! The items packed by them came through WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE at all ~ AND the delivery date was EXACTLY when they said it would be delivered!! The absolutely best moving experience I've ever had ~ it was awesome! I'd hire them again and I highly recommend Los Angeles Transfer and Storage to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and conscientious moving company!! When I first read their online reviews, I thought they'd written the reviews themselves ~ after this move, I know better ~ these guys are the best!!

Worst experience in history. David Hirsch lied about not sub-contracting moves.  They do sub-contract. The truck carrying all of our household goods from California to Florida was impounded by DOT for operating on a suspended license. LA Transfer would not allow us to have another mover retrieve our belongings from the impounded truck even though they had been paid in full for the move. We had to wait over a week for them to pay a $10,000 fine to get the truck out of impound. When the goods arrived there was extensive damage. They agreed to pay us $400 in late delivery charges, but then refused payment unless we signed a release of all claims against them.  DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They also operate under the name of Budget Express Moving and Storage, Inc. Also, don't let them arrange to ship any cars.  That's an entirely separate nightmare we experienced with them. Don't believe anything David Hirsch tells you or says about this situation.   Also, they do not have multiple locations as they advertise.  All of the phone numbers forward to their one office in San Fernando.  I went to one of their listed locations and it was a strip center with no business there under their name..unless they operate out of a liquor store or Mexican restaurant.  These guys are dishonest.

I didn't expect this to be so easy. I moved from Florida to San Francisco California. My girlfriend lives there. We met on a cruise ship. The long distance just wouldn't work so I made the leap and moved. I had nothing but perfect service with David on time responsive honest. What else can you ask for. Not like these other companies here on yelp buying. There online representation this company is legit. Thank you again, David and the movers at Los Angeles transfer.

Overall, we were very happy with the job done by LA Movers. David came in and explained the process - and things pretty well went as he described. It wasn't an easy move as our property was not accessible for the 53 foot truck - everything had to be relayed via a smaller truck. The driver was great - we were able to keep in touch with him to coordinate our arrivals, and there was a team ready at our delivery point to unload. We had some damage to one piece, but David made sure that was taken care of. Good follow up also..!   .

The move was smooth and everyone along the way was very helpful. I was anxious because it was our first big move from one state to another - but everything was really efficient and everyone at L.A. Transfer was extremely considerate. We needed to have L.A. Transfer hold our items in storage for a few weeks before the move and they waived the first months storage (all we needed). They also filled the pick-up and emptoed the delivery efficiently and carefuly. When I was waiting for the drop-off, I was given the number for dispatch so that I personally could call and be in touch with the driver. This gave me a much better idea of when my delivery would be made. All in all, everything about the experience was good. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.    .

I moved to NYC from LA and had the best experience by hiring David and the team at Los Angeles transfer and storage. They truly gave me the best possible price and service available in this highly competitive industry. Through this highly stressful process I was re-assured with verbal communication as well as proof in their actions, that I went with the right company. If I were to do it all over again, or recommend a moving company to a friend, it would def be this one. I'm very happy I made the right choice!

I was referred to Los Angeles Transfer and Storage from a friend. I called and was very happy the way they explained things to me. They came to my house right on time and was happy to see how professional and respectful they acted. They gave me the best service I have ever had from a moving company. They did moved everything out quickly and carefully. When they delivered it to Florida on time I was truly impressed. They unloaded everything quickly and with great care. Normaly moving can be a painful experiance but Los Angeles Transfer and Storage made it as painless as possible. I would gladly reccommend this moving company to all my friends and family.

arrived right on time for my pick-up and delivery. The movers were so
professional! I have relocated a few times and I have to say this was by far
the BEST move yet. All thanks to Los Angeles Transfer and Storage I will
never have to worry about another move again. The customer service over the
phone goes above and beyond making sure to cover every detail, customizing
the details to perfection. The best part for me I have to say was just as I
was promised over the phone when putting my deposit my price was not to
exceed the price quoted and they kept their word. I paid the exact amount to
the cent as initially quoted over the phone. What more can you ask for, they
have the experience, the quality, and honesty you need and deserve.

There was a few hiccupps in the moving process. The movers that picked my packages and furniture up was very nice and professional. They packed the heavy furniture. I had packaged most items before their arrival. LA Transfer also transferred my car for me. I very much liked the driver and promptness and honesty of this particular employee. I had a few damages. LA Transfers insurance did reimburse me for their agreed responsability. Moving is not an easy task for anyone..all in all I would give this company an honest effort in good service.

Amazing moving service by los angeles transfer and storage. I just moved me into my place and I couldn't be happier with them! Juan and Luis were great, they were incredibly patient, kind, professional, and efficient. The movers handled all of my things with a lot of care, there wasn't a single scratch or dent in anything! The movers went above to make my move a success. If you're looking for professional, friendly and efficient movers THIS is absolutely the company to go with. Thanks a lot guys.

  When a company stands out for it's superb service, I like to reward it with a sincere review. A couple of my friends referred me so I gave them a shot. I researched a future move recently from Los Angeles to New York half expecting to be “nickel & dimed” by an up-selling, high pressure salesperson. I was pleasantly surprised to actually to be able to have reached the owner of the company who was not only patient, and calm in explaining the moving process, but who was also very friendly and didn't make me feel like I was a dollar sign.   One of the things that really stood out about Los Angeles Transfer & Storage is their commitment to customer service. They don't give a quote over the phone as not to be misleading. This ensures a guaranteed moving cost on site. They are careful to give a customized price which is fair and don't purposely low-ball you over the phone with a misleading price.   They are not only able to guarantee pick and delivery dates but they also assign 3-4 different entities to each individual move to ensure logistic smoothness. They assign a salesperson customer service, driver and a dispatcher. They are also one of the few moving companies that accept all major credit cards for both pick up and delivery. They wrap and pack professionally and have a very good track record since they track and inventory the entire shipment noting any damage before the move. They even offer some cool gifts.

The move my husband and I made cross country was done by LAT quickly and easily. The movers were very good about talking up front with us about cost estimates and what to expect and when the time came, everything was pretty much exactly as they prepped us for. Jennifer was very helpful and even gave me her personal cell number in case I had issues outside of business hours since the time zones would be different. We were able to get a good price with them by combining our household move and the shipment of our car as well all through 1 moving service. They even put my husband's motorcycle in the moving truck which was a big money saver versus crating and shipping it.
